For organised seating at your wedding or event, a clearly labelled seating chart lets your guests find their seat easily and head straight over.

This template follows a horseshoe (U-shaped) layout, so your guests are grouped along each side rather than by table number. It's designed for around 48 guests, including the top table, which makes it a lovely fit for a more intimate celebration. Moveable text boxes let you add or remove names easily as your numbers settle.

How to access the template

After purchase, download our template access PDF from your order confirmation screen or order email.
Open the PDF and click the access link. A copy of the design will save to your Canva account, ready to edit.
Templates are best edited on a desktop browser, as mobile editing may cause formatting issues.
The design stays in your account with no expiry date, so you can come back and edit or re-download any time.

How to edit the template

Once the template is in your Canva account, open it in your browser or desktop app and edit it like any other Canva file.
All fonts used in the design are free in Canva, so there's nothing to install and no Pro account needed. Change the wording and fonts to get it exactly how you want.
Nothing in the layout is permanently locked, so you can move, resize, and rearrange elements to suit your event. A few elements, like backgrounds, are locked by default just to keep things from moving around while you edit, but you can unlock them anytime.
Most graphics, like borders and stripes, can change colour too, giving you flexibility to match your palette. Hand-painted illustrations and fine art elements are the exceptions and remain uneditable.
When your design is complete, download it as a PDF file and send it to print.

Where to print your design

Large signs are more of a print shop job rather than something you can do at home. Your finished Canva PDF file is ready to send as is, so all you need to do is choose how you want it printed.

There are three common options:

Poster. A flat printed sheet that's great for framing or mounting yourself. Choose a paper stock that is at least 160gsm so it holds its shape.

Foam board. This is where the printer mounts your design onto lightweight foam board in one step. This is the most popular choice for a freestanding sign on an easel.

Corflute. This is where your design is printed directly onto a weatherproof plastic board. It's best for outdoor signage and can be hung on a frame with eyelets.

Where to print

For signage, we recommend going through a local print shop. The turnaround is quick and you can collect it rather than waiting on delivery. You can also ask any questions in person.
